Mahaan Rehabilitation Services

"Mahaan" means greatness in Sanskrit, our clinic strives to live up to it's meaning

Our clinic is located in Dixon, CA, Mahaan Rehabilitation Services is a physical therapy clinic focused on the whole body concept. Where the pain is may not be where the issue starts. Our clinic has over decades of experience in different types of therapy. We are ready to listen, not only to your words but to your body.

While we do believe and practice traditional physical therapy with our patients, our main expertise are:

Visceral Manipulation - the practice of locating primary restrictions and lines of tension that limited function, reduce mobility and cause pain.

Craniosacral Therapy - the practice of relieving pain and tension by gently manipulating the head and harmonizing natural rhythms in the central nervous system.

Treating Children to Adults

Our goals with pediatric clients is to improve motor delays and developmental skills. Some of the diagnoses treated (but not limited to) are: cerebral palsy, brachial plexus, nerve injuries, seizure disorders and childhood delays. As well as sport injuries and traumas. The therapists work with parents/caregivers to educate about specific exercise programs and obstacles within the child's environment. All therapy is done at our clinic.

For Adult clients, we treat from head to toe. From headaches and migraines down the spine to foot related issues. Although we do see sports/trauma related injuries, our main treatment specialty is the whole body concept for chronic and persistent pain, such as fibromyalgia, autoimmune diseases, sciatica, chronic back pain and more. Please note we are not a post-surgical clinic and do not have the man-power or appointment slots available to support these specific needs. If you would like to inquire about your diagnosis or illness to see if our clinic is a good fit, please don't hesitate to call our our office.

Physical Therapists

Meet our provider:

Haan Elling has owned and managed this new way of physical therapy practice for over 14 years utilizing advance manual skills, combined with traditional physical therapy, and a passion for comprehending and treating the whole body, instead of one segment or system at a time. He enjoys treating all age groups as it aides in a better understanding of the developmental stages from babies to children and a focus for compensations and dysfunction in the adult body.

"I draw from a wide range of experience in multiple physical therapy settings all over the United States and two international positions.  I draw from the wisdom and experience of colleagues and instructors in a multitude of settings, including pediatrics, sports medicine, traumatic brain injury, and wound care. I am also a diplomate-certified therapist of Visceral Manipulation and a licensed physical therapist. I surrounded myself with a  brilliant and gifted staff to provide our clients with effective treatments in a warm team environment."

Other Services We Offer

The CVAC (Cyclic Variations in Adaptive Conditioning TM), or the pod to most of our patients, provides the benefits of traditional aerobic and anaerobic exercise without the joint stress and physical exertion that is associated with high impact activities.

This training chamber uses a computer controlled program(s) that mimics high and low altitudes variations to gently compress and squeeze your muscles at fixed intervals. The computer programs also simulates low air pressure and low density with cooler temperatures.  Your body thinks it is at higher altitudes for max performance. Why is this important? At higher altitudes your body increases circulation and develops new oxygen rich blood cells which can increase biogenesis and stem cell production.

The only downside is your ears will pop similar to taking off or landing in an airplane.  At your first appointment our trained staff will educate you on the best ways to clear your ears and ensure your ears and sinuses can handle the pressure. We want to make sure you are comfortable but challenged in your CVAC sessions.

A session equals 20 minutes. Patients will complete 3 CVAC sessions, totaling an hour of therapy assisting your body’s cellular energy-making components while eliminating toxics from the body naturally.

Let’s get started on your healing journey

MyoFascial Acoustic Compression Therapy (ACT) is used in the treatment of acute and chronic pain in muscles, tendons, and joints. ACT uses acoustic waves to target tissues at varying depths by compressing and manipulating the tissue, resulting in a focused precise, deep tissue massage. The pressure waves from the ACT can lead to improved circulation and pain relief, key components in the healing process.

“Like warm sunlight to the skin”

High intensity Class IV laser is 1,200 times more powerful than traditional class III "cold laser" therapy treatment. This is a drug free, non-invasive form of treatment for pain relief. Medical staff use the light energy right to body's cells, penetrating deep into the tissue, aggressively treating pain and inflammation at the source.
